This week, some of our Year 11 pupils headed to the Llyn Peninsula for their residential experience at Hafan-Y-Mor
The weather was not on our side, but we didn’t let the Welsh rain dampen our spirits!
Archery, Segways, Ziplines and Roller Skating were hits for our energised pupils, some experiencing new activities and pushing themselves to overcome the challenges placed in front of them.
There was also a chance to have a more leisurely and creative approach to the day with Sand Art, Painting, Pedalos and Cycle carts.
The evenings were filled with plenty of dancing and singing at the Club house performances, where pupils (and some staff) had a chance to let their hair down and ROCK!!
Pupils put their Learning for Life skills to the test in real world situations, as they cooked up their meals, interacted with the general public, managed their money and worked independently and as part of a team in keeping their caravans . Parents – your child has no excuse now when you ask them to tidy their room or make their bed!
A massive THANK YOU to the staff who supported on the residential for giving up your time in supporting pupils trying new things, keeping them safe whilst away from home and helping make memories
Enjoy a sample of the fun from the past week below. More will follow next term
Have a lovely break – stay safe
