New Bridge School Blog Post - 02.10.2026

I can't believe how fast this week has gone!! And that we are only three weeks away from the half-term break. I think it really goes to show how incredibly busy we are and the pace we are working at.

We also had a slight ‘technical’ glitch last week, as our internet went down, so thank you to all families for their care and understanding around these few days. It's safe to say we are back online and trying to catch up on emails and communications.

This week I've been out and about. This afternoon, I had a lovely ‘drop-in session’ with 9TAN, talking about family, jobs, exotic food and some other funny stories (mainly about Angry Ginge).

Next week, I'm really excited as we begin our learning walks. This is such a brilliant time, as we get to see all the amazing learning that goes on in all lessons, plus we get to spend time with our fabulous children. More of this to come.

Last week, my blog was talking about keeping children safe. This week, I just want to remind students, families and carers about our school rule of no phones.

In the summer, the Department for Education stated that all schools should be ‘phone free’. At New Bridge, we are quite clear about the use of phones, namely that they are handed in to our hub, where they are kept safe and secure, to be returned to students at the end of the day.

We do this to ensure students are safe and that there is no interruption to learning.

So that's it from me this week.

I hope everyone has a fab weekend.

Stay safe,

Mrs T
