Mrs T's Blog - 5.12.25

Well, Christmas has arrived and our tree went up on Monday in reception – alongside our gigantic snowman. Throughout the school it’s beginning to look like Christmas, and we are slowly threading the festive themes into teaching.

Mrs T's Blog - 5.12.25

This week has been incredibly busy. Mrs Birch Hall and I attended a Trust development morning at Hawthorns School. The morning looked at the developments around health, some interesting work on leadership and a strategy we will be working on in the new year around racism and examining some of the issues such as the use of language, prejudice and hate crime.

More to come with this in thew new year.

On Wednesday we welcomed our governors and our CEO Clare into school to talk about the developments in all our buildings over the past term. It’s always good to sit back and celebrate the achievements of your young people and staff. Thank you to Andrea and our governors who support everything we do and always ensure we put the students in the heart of everything we do.

Next week we continue our countdown to Christmas and welcome students and staff into school as we host their nativity from Hollinwood Academy.

Can I just add some key dates to remind families and carers:

Wednesday 17th December is our Christmas Jumper Day and Christmas Dinner.

That’s it for me. Anyone in Uppermill on Saturday afternoon can look out for me taking part in the Annual Rotary Club Santa Dash. I’ll be the one dressed in red (I will try and post next week...)

Have a fab week

Stay Safe
