Mrs T's Blog (13.3.26)

It’s incredible to think we are nearly at the end of the spring term ( 10 more get ups...) This week has been really busy, as we move towards our transition plan for our year 9 and 11 students and begin the work ready for the NEXT academic year.

This week we’ve had more visitors to the Roman Road site. A group of aspiring teachers have been to school on 2 visits this week and have seen some of the amazing work that goes on here. It's always good to have visitors into school and a big ‘thank you' goes out to the students who were an inspiration, as well as the staff who supported the day. A big ‘shout out' goes to Mr Flanagan - who organises the day and makes sure our participants get to see some brilliant practice in action .

This is the week we also celebrate the mothers in our lives. On Thursday, Mr Hanif and the team organised a bake sale for Mother's Day and the students were able to buy cakes and cards for the mum in their lives. I am not sure many cakes made it home, but it was lovely to see students in our reception at break time. Thank you to the team for organising and just to say we are repeating this next Thursday .

Next week will be equally busy with Eid celebrations (more about that in next week's blog) and next Friday - Comic Relief. Next Friday is non - uniform day with a contribution to Comic Relief if families are able to do so .

That's it from me. I'm sure whatever you are doing this weekend that the ‘mum' in your lives will feel appreciated and loved.

Stay Safe
