Lumenus Update: A Busy and Exciting Start to the Term 

We have had a fantastic start to the term, establishing new group agreements, welcoming new members to the programme, and beginning our accreditation work. 

We are delighted to be working with Oldham Theatre Workshop, where students attend workshops and performances every Wednesday and Thursday in their inspiring and creative space. 

Wednesdays 

Students are currently taking part in a range of engaging activities, including: 

🌟 Movement Therapy 
🌟 Devising Theatre 
🌟 Hip Hop Dance 

These sessions help students develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and performance skills. 

Thursdays 

Students participate in practical workshops alongside academic study towards their qualifications, including: 

🌟 BTEC Introductory Award and Certificate in Performing Arts 
🌟 BTEC National Level 3 Certificate and Extended Certificate in Performing Arts 
🌟 Silver Arts Award 
🌟 Gold Arts Award 

These qualifications support students in developing their practical, creative, and reflective skills while working towards recognised accreditation. 

Fridays 

On Fridays, students take part in Music lessons that support their devising work and deepen their understanding of the performing arts. This half term's focus is Music Appreciation, exploring different styles, genres, and influences to inspire their creative work. 

We are looking forward to seeing our students continue to grow in confidence, develop new skills, and create exciting work throughout the term.
