Learning Centre Blog - 6.6.25

I’d like to start by wishing ‘Eid Mubarak’ to all our staff, students and their families celebrating Eid.

On Monday 9th June, 2 – 3pm, families have been invited to our Learning Centre Eid Celebration event. This invite is for our current families and for parents/ carers of year 11 students who will be joining us in September.

This will provide an opportunity not only to join in Eid celebrations, but also an opportunity to visit the Learning Centre, ask questions and allay any transition fears or worries they may have.

I’m delighted to share some very exciting news. One of our amazing Students, Brooke Doogan, from year 12 has informed her teacher, Mrs Curran of her interest in writing and a wish to produce a Learning Centre magazine. The plan will be to produce both electronic and paper editions that everyone can access.

I’d like to introduce you to our student magazine editor, Brooke.

This is so exciting Brooke; I can’t wait to read your first edition. I feel privileged to be the first person Brooke will be interviewing and sharing this within my blog next week. I’d better be on the ball!

When asked why she wanted to create a Learning Centre magazine, Brooke replied:

“Because I want people to be proud of the learning centre and to show people what we do here.”

I’m so very proud of you Brooke, exciting times! I look forward to starting this journey with you.
