IB2 WEEKLY BLOG
What a wonderful week it has been in IB2, with the hot sunshine giving us the perfect excuse to enjoy lots of water play and sensory exploration. Our students have been fully engaged, smiling, splashing and feeling the cool water on their hands. Perfect way for us to stay refreshed whilst building our sensory awareness.
This week’s story was the ‘Munching Crunching Caterpillar’. Students explored colours and textures linked to the story, whilst enjoying listening to the story being read.
We have also been busy in cooking, where IB2 have made a delicious pink old school cake. Students explored ingredients through touch and smell whilst helping with mixing the ingredients. The sweet smell filled the classroom as a highlight of the week.
To stay cool we have finished our week with lots of cool sensory time, students having the opportunities to chill with lots of cool materials, calming lights and soothing textures of spending time our of their chairs.
IB2 have had a fantastic week full of sunshine, sensory fun and joyful learning. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
