Learning Centre Blog (22.3.26)

This week sees some of our Learning Centre students getting ready to go to Calvert Trust Residential in the Lake district. I’m excited to be able to join them for a few days and watch them and I’m looking forward seeing our students embrace new experiences and adventures. Watch out for updates this week!

Last week I was immensely proud of Brooke, from Miss Keane’s Class, who completed 2 LC news articles. Brooke interviewed staff and students to learn more about how they celebrate Eid. On Friday Brooke reported on Red Nose Day. Brooke is working hard on developing her Literacy and reporting skills and I’m looking forward to reading more in weeks to come.

On Friday, staff and students took part in a range of comic relief day activities, the Learning Centre was awash with red noses and bright colours. Special thanks to Miss Kindon and the Nurture group students who ran the café. It was lovely to see students coming together to enjoy red nose day cakes and drinks, The hot chocolate was particularly yummy!
