IB2 Update

This week, our IB2 students have been fully embracing the joy of the Easter season through a range of engaging and sensory-rich activities.

The classroom has been filled with creativity as students designed and created their own Easter cards. Using soft pastel paints, they explored colours and textures while developing their fine motor skills through hand-over-hand support. Each card is a unique reflection of their effort and expression, and the process itself was a wonderful opportunity for students to engage in a calm, hands-on activity.

In cooking, the students had a fantastic time making Easter nest cakes. This was a real highlight of the week! From mixing the ingredients to shaping their nests, everyone got involved. The rich smell of melting chocolate filled the room, which the students especially enjoyed, adding an extra sensory element to the experience.

To celebrate the arrival of spring, the students also took part in planting flowers. They carefully planted and watered them, and we are excited to see them bloom very soon. It’s been a lovely way to connect with the changing season and introduce elements of responsibility and care.

Overall, it has been a joyful and engaging week, full of creativity, sensory exploration, and seasonal celebration. We are so proud of all the students and the enthusiasm they have shown in every activity!

We hope everyone has a lovely Easter half term!
