Destiny Students Shine at New Bridge Learning Centre
Destiny photographers Matthieu and Nayem recently had the opportunity to put their growing media skills into practice during a visit to New Bridge Learning Centre, where they filmed a special leavers' music video for students.
Working with professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the day, both students demonstrated excellent teamwork, creativity and technical ability. From setting up equipment to capturing a range of dynamic shots, Matthieu and Nayem approached the project with confidence and maturity, ensuring every moment was filmed to a high standard.

The finished video will provide New Bridge Learning Centre with a lasting memory of this year's leavers, celebrating their achievements and marking an important milestone in their journey.
Everyone at Destiny is incredibly proud of Matthieu and Nayem. They represented both Destiny and New Bridge College brilliantly, showing not only their developing filmmaking skills but also their commitment, positive attitude and dedication to producing professional-quality work.
Well done to both of you—this is another fantastic example of the meaningful opportunities our students experience through Destiny.
Lumenus’ Voice, Many Stories: Students Monologue Showcase
‘Over the past couple of months, Lumenus have been practicing their own monologues and duologues from different films, movies, etc. We have been doing this to gain some insight on how our students cope with developing characters from recognized pieces of work and performing i to the whole College. The pieces were a range of different themes such as magicians, princesses, Alice in Wonderland, and much more. Students were able to get into character and really surprise the audience with their acting skills’

‘When we were given the opportunity to be part of the team for the monologue showcase, it was a valuable experience. We were given our monologues earlier in the year to learn, and being involved in organising the showcase event was amazing. It allowed us to view everyone’s monologues not just as Lumenus students, but in a completely new light. This helped us generate ideas about how we wanted the event to develop.
I took on the role of the event’s email correspondent, and it was a great experience communicating with everyone and helping to bring everything together.’

Creative Perspectives: New Bridge College’s Annual Photography Exhibition
Students from New Bridge College proudly showcased their creativity, talent and unique perspectives through a recent photography exhibition, at Billington’s, that celebrated the power of visual storytelling.
The exhibition brought together a collection of thought-provoking images that reflected the interests, experiences and artistic development of our talented students.
The exhibition provided an exciting opportunity for students to share their work with peers, staff and families. Each photograph demonstrated the students’ growing confidence behind the camera and highlighted their ability to communicate powerful messages through imagery. From striking portraits and detailed close-up studies to vibrant landscapes and creative abstract compositions, the exhibition displayed a wide range of photographic styles and techniques.
Visitors to the exhibition were impressed by the quality and originality of the photographs on display. Many pieces invited audiences to see familiar places and objects from a fresh perspective, while others captured powerful emotions and moments that resonated with viewers. The exhibition demonstrated how photography can be used as a creative tool for communication, self-expression and storytelling.
Congratulations to all the students involved for producing such an inspiring collection of work. Their photographs captured far more than images... they told stories, sparked conversations and showcased the creativity that continues to thrive throughout New Bridge College.
A special thank you to Dan and the staff for making it a memorable event.
