The Girls Group bag-it up… purse-onally!
This week, we held a special activity with the Girls’ Group and held a TEAMS meeting with Dr Shirley-Woods Gallagher who explained her upcoming awards evening after being nominated for the Neurodiversity award and what it is.
The girls gave Shirley a sneak peak of the completed bag that was designed and produced and I must say they have done a fantastic job in completing with the support of Mrs Nelson with the tricky parts.
The bag has been made using cardboard, a glue gun, sequins and a t-shirt.
Other students also wanted to take part in making the bag too and they all worked collaboratively.
On Wednesday of next week, the bag will be collected and televised, the girls are looking forward to seeing their handmade bag become famous.
After the awards ceremony Dr Shirley will be bringing in her award, photos and the bag along with an update on the evening spent with the celebrities.
Please enjoy looking at the project completed by the girls and look forward to next week's update.

International Men’s Day – 19th November 2024
The Pre-Internship students have put together a display to celebrate International Men's Day at New Bridge College. Pictures were taken of all our lovely male staff members, then pictures were displayed in Reception to give gratitude and say kind words about our male staff members.
International Men's Day
A quote from Katie one of our HSC students:
Men should be appreciated as sometimes they can be overlooked.
Lynton, our BTG job coach had this to say!
Thank you for yesterday... It put a huge smile on my face, and I for one felt it was meaningful and from the heart.
