New Bridge School

In AB we were finding out about different things in Germany. As we had worked very hard in this area the staff decided to organise a trip to the German Markets in Manchester! We were all very excited when we talked about our trip the week before and on Monday 4th December we began our afternoon by having a McDonalds as we had to leave before dinner time had finished. At about 1pm Mrs Whiteley and Jimmy kindly drove all 20 of us into the centre of the city in the midst of our first shower of snow. It felt very Christmassy in the market and we all enjoyed looking around the stalls. We tasted German sausage and brought some back with us, Max bought a duck puppet which he was eager to take home and show mum and dad and Bilal bought a plaque with his name on for his bedroom door. There were some fantastic things to look at as well as some interesting smells, sounds and colours for us to experience. And the chocolate marshmallow kebabs were gorgeous! Everybody behaved very well and coped with the crowds beautifully. The time went very quickly and we could have stayed longer but we met up with the buses on time and got back to school tired but happy
