Science covers Key stage 3 and 4 curriculum content and at key stage 4 students have
the opportunity to study for an externally accredited exam, suited to their abilities.
Science lessons are as practically based as possible with lots of hands-on experiences.
This helps our young people explore more complicated concepts and relates science
to everyday life.
Science at New Bridge School will closely follow the Key Stage 3 National Curriculum guidelines. The scheme of work will use the Spotlight Science Course as its main source. The Key Stage 4 curriculum will be accredited using ALL (Accreditation for Life and Living), Science Plus and GCSE.
Work will be differentiated to meet the needs of the pupils. There are two Specialist Science Rooms with an attached Preparation room. Both Science rooms lead outside into a Sensory based Science garden
