Drama

Drama gives students the chance to express themselves through a variety of means. It gives each person a voice and enables students to interact with others, either an audience or other members of the drama group.  Through drama work students are able to explore new and exciting environments, learn about different cultures and take a deeper look at the nature of humankind.  They learn to work as a team and to believe in themselves and others.  Students are also able to achieve external accreditation awards, take part in gifted and talented performances and full school productions.

New Bridge School is fortunate to have a state of the art theatre facility.  The pupils and students will have the opportunities (both curricular and extra curricular) to access and make use of these facilities.  The sprung wooden floor will accommodate dance and movement work.

The advanced theatre lighting and sound systems will allow the young people to experiment and experience this technological medium.

Drama will be taught through the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and can be chosen as an option at Key Stage 4.
