Dance

Dance gives all students the opportunity to express themselves both physically and non-verbally.  Dance has no boundaries for interpretation and develops both the mind and body. Students are taught following the National Curriculum Dance at KS3 and 4 with therapy based practices where appropriate.  Dance is often taught in collaboration with other subjects.

New Bridge School is fortunate to have a state of the art theatre facility.  The pupils and students will have the opportunities (both curricular and extra curricular) to access and make use of these facilities.  The sprung wooden floor will accommodate dance and movement work.

The advanced theatre lighting and sound systems will allow the young people to experiment and experience this technological medium.

Drama will be taught through the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and can be chosen as an option at Key Stage 4.
